On this tour we will wind through the beautiful salt marsh estuaries behind Folly Island. Morris Island Lighthouse Tour
6 hours - $85
The Morris Island Lighthouse has been a beacon at the north end of Folly Beach for many years. Like other lighthouses Morris Island Lighthouse has been through a few incarnations. The first navigation aid was built around 1673, followed by lighthouses built in 1767, 1838, and the final one built in 1876. The 1876 lighthouse was built 1200 feet from shore, in 1938 it was at the water's edge, and now it is surrounded by water.
Take a day to paddle out to Morris Island and admire this guardian of our shores. Don't forget to bring a picnic lunch to fuel up for the paddle home.
